Healthy, immune-boosting, spicy and refreshing smoothie that will skyrocket your immunity and keep those winter viruses at bay.
To start, let’s discuss what the immune system is and why we need it.
Your immune system is made of cells, tissues, and organs. Together they help the body fight infections and other diseases. When bacteria or viruses invade your body, they attack and multiply. This is why we need to keep our immunity strong so we can fight any infection that tries to attack our bodies.
Food is just one of the things that will help you boost your immune system and keep your body healthy.

Besides food – fruits and veggies, you will need a good sleep, enough water, regular exercise, and lots of laughter 🙂
As I won’t be able to advise you about your sleeping patterns or exercise I will share with you this spicy immune boosting smoothie that will bring you one step closer to your strong immunity.
The key ingredients for this immunity-boosting smoothie are:
- Grapefruit – feel free to use red, pink, or white. I used red just for the extra antioxidants’ kick and for the extra sweetness. It’s a good source of vitamin C, potassium, folic acid, and water-soluble fibre.
- Ginger – Ginger has powerful antiviral and antibacterial properties so it’s an absolute no-brainer to include ginger in this smoothie.
- Turmeric – if you ask me what my favourite spice of all time is, I will always say turmeric. So many health benefits that I would need to dedicate the whole post to it. Some of the benefits are; powerful antioxidant, anti-cancer effects, naturally anti-inflammatory.
The smoothie is very strong but very powerful. Your body and your cells will definitely be thanking you and screaming for more 🙂
