For the past two years, I have been on a mission to try out and visit as many vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants in London as possible. So here is the list of my top 10 best vegan restaurants in London.
On this list, you can find anything from Mexican, Jamaican, and Japanese to a good mixture of different types of cuisines. All the restaurants are fully vegan except Tendril which even has it in its name “a mostly vegan kitchen” 🙂
So here we go, my top 10 best vegan restaurants in London:
- Unity diner
- Omni Collective
- Jam delish
- Itadakizen
- Club Mexicana
- Farmacy
- Wulf and Lamb
- Mallow
- Tendril
- Mildreds Soho
- Unity Diner
1. Unity Diner
Unity Diner is one of my favourite places to visit. It serves remarkable vegan food that even nonvegans question. Their burgers, tofish and chips, bbq glazed tempeh, and loaded fries are just some of the delicacies they offer. With a trendy yet cosy ambience and a friendly staff, Unity Diner welcomes vegans and non-vegans alike. Apparently, their cocktails are incredible but I haven’t had a chance to try them. If you do, let me know in the comments below 🙂
Unity Diner was founded by a group of friends, including the famous vegan activist – Earthling Ed. Their profit goes straight towards animal rights work and they opened Surge Sanctuary in 2020 which you can check out here: https://www.surgesanctuary.org/
Fully vegan: Yes
Serves: Lunch and Dinner
Location: 60 Wentworth St, London E1 7AL, United Kingdom
2. Omni Collective
The second restaurant on my ‘Top 10 best vegan restaurants in London’ list must be Omni Collective. I was lucky to receive a birthday gift from my friends to visit Omni for an 8-course set menu for 2, and I can tell you, it was divine.
Starting with lush cocktails to beautiful starters, mains, and delicious chocolate pudding. Portions seemed small but you feel pretty satisfied and full at the end.
The ambience is modern and inviting, creating a perfect setting for a delightful dining experience – from a relaxed lunch idea to a romantic dinner date. The restaurant is owned by Jessica McGill and George Matheou.
Fully vegan: Yes
Serves: Lunch and Dinner
Location: 24A Peckham Rye, London SE15 4JR, United Kingdom
3. Jam Delish
Jam Delish, located in Angel, definitely lives up to the area’s name as all their vegan dishes taste angelically scrumptious. I couldn’t resist adding this to my list of the best vegan restaurants in London. Jam Delish was founded in 2020 by siblings Jordan and Chyna, who were inspired by their own upbringing in a vegan household. Their idea was to bring their grandparents’ traditional Caribbean recipes to life.
The restaurant serves brunch, lunch, and dinner but whatever you decide, you absolutely cannot miss their jerk wings, salt fish tostones, bacon mac and cheese and berry crumble imo.
Fully vegan: Yes
Serves: Brunch, Lunch and Dinner
Location: 1 Tolpuddle St, London N1 0XT, United Kingdom

4. Itadakizen
Itadakizen is a hidden gem for Japanese vegan cuisine. Owned by a dedicated team with a passion for traditional Japanese flavours, the restaurant serves authentic vegan sushi, ramen, and other Japanese delicacies, ensuring a delightful taste of Japan in every dish.
It took me a while to decide what to have but I opted for maki rolls, Dengaku (grilled aubergine in miso glaze) Tofu and mushroom croquettes, Goma q (cucumber with sesame), Kaarage (tofu in itadakizen sauce) Kimchi and Chapche (stir-fried glass noodles).
Fully vegan: Yes
Serves: Lunch and Dinner
Location: London and Shrewsbury (UK), Paris and Kyoto
5. Club Mexicana
This list of the best vegan restaurants in London wouldn’t be complete without Club Mexicana.
For lovers of Mexican cuisine, Club Mexicana is a must-visit destination. The brainchild of former advertiser, Meriel Armitage serves up innovative and flavourful vegan Mexican street food. From their mouthwatering tacos to scrumptious nachos, each bite is a fiesta of flavours. (you see what I did there?) 🙂
They have a couple of restaurants around London, the most famous one being located in Kingly Court, Carnaby Street.
My absolute favourites were the loaded nachos and three different types of tacos. Don’t forget to try their frozen margaritas too.
Fully vegan: Yes
Serves: Lunch and Dinner
Location: Kingly court – Soho, Shoreditch and Seven dials Market – Covent Garden
6. Farmacy
Owned by Camilla Fayed, Farmacy is a wellness-focused vegan restaurant offering nourishing and organic plant-based dishes. The stylish ambience reflects their commitment to holistic well-being, and their menu features nutrient-packed dishes that promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle. I have visited Farmacy multiple times, and it has never disappointed me. From afternoon tea to breakfast, brunch and lunch.
Except for afternoon tea, their waffle mushroom benedict and pancakes are to die for.

7. Wulf and Lamb
“Wulf and Lamb” had me tricked by this name. To be honest, I would have never guessed that the restaurant is completely vegan. However, their concept is: ‘Run with the wolves, eat with the lambs,’ which clarifies things a bit more. There are two restaurants in London, one is based on Pavillion Road in Chelsea and the other one in Marylebone.
Wulf and Lamb is a vegan eatery known for its soul-satisfying comfort food., The restaurant’s cosy and stylish two-floor setting is perfect for enjoying its delicious vegan burgers, hearty bowls, and scrumptious desserts. I am definitely coming back to try the rest of the dishes but I loved their Creamy mushroom pasta and Katsu curry.
Fully vegan: Yes
Serves: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Location: Chelsea and Marylebone
8. Mallow
Mallow is one of the 5 restaurants operated by the team behind the well-known London restaurant chain Mildreds (Mentioned below). It is a beautiful fully vegan restaurant in London that creates dishes supporting local businesses with an aim to produce minimal waste. The food is super colourful, creative and most importantly, very tasty. The main restaurant is in Borough Market and the newly opened one is based in Canary Wharf.
Fully vegan: yes
Serves: Breakfast, (Weekend) Brunch, Lunch and Dinner
Location: Borough Market and Canary Wharf
9. Tendril
Tendril offers an elevated vegan dining experience with a focus on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, avoiding fake meat and highly processed food. Chef Rishim Sachdeva challenged himself during Veganuary, which led to the birth of Tendril. It started as a pop-up at first but eventually launched into a permanent restaurant, now located off Regent Street. The restaurant is chic, being a great place for vegan lunch or dinner with friends, family, or your date. The dishes are artistic that not only look stunning but also tantalize the taste buds.
You can choose between a la carte or a set menu.
Fully vegan: No
Serves: Brunch, Lunch and Dinner
Location: 5 Princes St, London W1B 2LQ, United Kingdom
10. Mildreds
The restaurant was established in 1988 by Jane Muir and has multiple locations across London, each with its own unique style and personality. Mildreds offers a diverse menu inspired by global flavours, from the Sri Lankan sweet potato curry to the smoked tofu bacon burger, each dish showcases Mildreds’ culinary creativity. I visited the one in Soho once for brunch with friends, and also for a dinner date.
Fully vegan: Yes
Serves: Breakfast, (Weekend) Brunch, Lunch and Dinner

Each of these restaurants bring something unique to the vibrant vegan scene in London, making it a haven for plant-based food enthusiasts and culinary adventurers.
