In case you are looking for a vegan-friendly cafe or a restaurant in Canggu to settle for a day, look no further. I am sharing with you the list of free vegan-friendly workplaces in Canggu.
Vegan Cafes in Canggu – Work-friendly
Instead of juts listing vegan cafes in canggu, I decided to also share how work-friendly are all those places. I spent a lot of time in each restaurant listed below, either working or just enjoying and soaking in that Bali air. (Not much of great air in Canggu, but the sun makes up for it) so hopefully it will help you find your safe haven to do some work.

- The Secret Spot
- Warung Dua Hati
- Manggis
- Cafe Coach

#1 ZIN Cafe
Zin Cafe in Canggu is a great vegan-friendly cafe and a coworking place located in the heart of Canggu. It is a two-floor restaurant and cafe with a rooftop and a separate workspace called Zin@work.
You are welcome to work anywhere in the restaurant, or you can choose to use the Zin workspace, with or without air conditioning.
They offer a variety of great vegan options, such as the Farmers Bowl, Sweet Trinidad Vegan Curry (my personal favourite), Coconut & Dragon Fruit Chia Pudding, Baba Ghanoush, Chips, and a selection of seasonal fruits in the Fruit Bowl. In terms of drinks, they provide a good selection of plant-based milk at no extra charge. My go-to choice is always either an iced or hot oat matcha latte.
Another highlight of the restaurant is its proximity to Nelayan Beach, Canggu Beach, and Batu Bolong, all within walking distance. So, during your lunch break or after work, you can head to the beach to soak up some sun or watch the sunset.
They also offer memberships:
“Join for free and get your ZINNNER loyalty card. Receive a free 25% extra cash value on top of
whatever amount you deposit – spend with savings on anything at ZIN Cafe, ZINFIT gym,
ZIN@work, ZINspa, our Rooftop & Riverside Bars and hotel rooms.”

#2 The Secret Spot
Another one of my favourites, ranking in the top 3 best vegan-friendly cafes for digital nomads in Canggu. Before I moved to Ubud, I spent a considerable amount of time working from the Secret Spot and savouring their amazing vegan food.
The restaurant provides both indoor and outdoor seating, with the indoor area equipped with air conditioning, which is quite useful if you don’t enjoy Canggu’s scorching heat.
In terms of food, Secret Spot is entirely vegan, offering a diverse range of vegan breakfast options, including pancakes, a full English breakfast, and incredible croissants. For lunch, you can choose from a variety of vegan bowls, curries, ramen, and more.

#3 Warung Dua Hati
If you read my blog post TOP 10 Best Vegan Restaurants in Canggu, Bali you can see that Dua Hati took first place as the best vegan restaurant in Canggu. Great vegan food, great staff, affordable, laptop-friendly and dog-friendly. What else do you need during your work hours?
Dua Hati in Canggu serves fully vegan dishes. It is more of a vegan restaurant than a co-working space but you are more than welcome to take your laptop and turn on your work mode. The restaurant also offers a closed space with air-con or you can choose the open space. Note that the open space is inside but it can get pretty noisy as it is close to the (sometimes) busy road.
The restaurant serves vegan breakfast, vegan lunch and vegan dinner and has a good range of dishes from waffles, pancakes, tofu and plain croissants, smoothie bowls, pasta dishes, Indonesian food, protein-packed smoothies and desserts.
Don’t miss their Tofu scramble croissant, Maca Smoothie, Creamy mushroom pasta and Nasi Campur. Absolute winners.

#4 Manggis
I worked from Manggis only once and I really enjoyed my full day there, therefore I’m adding it to the list.
Manggis Canggu is a fully vegan, Asian-fusion restaurant. Google says “Stylish all-day outfit for Asian-fusion plant-based cuisine, with leafy garden seating & cocktails.” And I would definitely agree.
All the plants in the restaurant you are surrounded with give you a calm feeling of being away from all the Canggu traffic but being on the main road, it’s not the quietest place to work, especially if your job requires taking calls. Another thing is the dust from the road and road works nearby (currently).
There is semi-indoor and outdoor seating, no air-con.
The food is good, Manggis’s extensive vegan menu offers an incredible range of vegan breakfast dishes such as avocado toast, tofu Hollandaise, tofu scramble, pancakes, pastry and of course, smoothie bowls. I tried their Breakfast scramble, Iced oat matcha latte, vegan croissant, Calamari rings and blueberry cake.
Note: Manggis Canggu is one of the rare places that includes their service charge in the price list on the menu. So the price you see on their menu is the price you actually pay.
Fully vegan: Yes
Daily charge: Free
Air-con: No
Noise level: 4/5 Outdoor, 2/5 Indoor

#5 Cafe Coach
One of the most famous vegan and non-vegan cafes and co-working spots for digital nomads in Canggu must be Cafe Coach. It is situated on the same road as Zin Cafe, just a bit further up. Cafe Coach is a two-floor café and restaurant offering some decent vegan dishes. While it’s not entirely vegan, the quality of the vegan food that Cafe Coach serves may well persuade you to stay for a full day of work.
I spent the day on their upper floor, enjoying the comfortable air conditioning while being surrounded by like-minded people. Despite its location on the main road, it’s a peaceful place, allowing you to hold your conference calls and meetings without worrying about noise.
The vegan selection on their menu is pretty decent and wonderfully tasty. It is on the pricey side though. I tried their Vinyasa Vitality dish – tofu scramble, mushroom, vegan parmesan cheese, chickpea hummus, roasted tomato, chilli oil & pumpkin seeds, served on toasted sourdough. For drinks, I got The Transformation and the Creator smoothies and iced matcha.
And lastly, If you are not a coffee drinker, like myself, then you will definitely enjoy their selection of coffee alternatives. You can find Taro latte, Matcha, Beetrot late, Turmeric, Chai and Ceremonial cacao. Just make sure to ask for plant-based milk.

#6 Tribal
Tribal is not actually located in Canggu but in Perereran. It is a village between Canggu and Seseh beach that started to develop more and more. It became popular among digital nomads and people who still want to be close to Canggu but not in the middle of it.
Tribal is actually a hostel that has a beautiful coworking space, with different amenities for your lunch break – infinity pool, chess, billiard, you name it. It has been recognised as the Best Digital Nomad Hostel 2023 HOSCARs and Top 10 Hotels in Bali by Nat Geo.
In terms of vegan food options, Tribal actually has a decent menu with vegan dishes. I started my day with iced oat matcha and porridge and then for lunch, I had kombucha and vegan green curry. The curry wasn’t the best as it lacked flavour but It did fuel me up for the rest of my work day.

#7 Pels Supershop (Temporarily closed)
Pels Supershop, formerly known as Peleton Supershop is a nice place to settle for a day. It is a fully vegan restaurant and a cafe in Canggu, situated on two floors.
The seating is nicely spaced out so you don’t feel like you can write someone’s meeting minutes.
In terms of food, Pels has THE best vegan toasties in Canggu. Their Italian job sandwich – Breaded crispy tricken, melted mozzarella, napolitana, fresh basil, and jalapeños on toasted fresh sourdough tastes as heavenly as it sounds. They also have sweet dishes such as pancakes and smoothie bowls or if you are more interested in salads or soups, the choice is pretty decent.

#8 The Sloth
If you’re in search of a wholesome yet comforting vegan food and working space in Canggu, The Sloth is the place to be.
I spent a considerable amount of time working from The Sloth (2-3 times per week) and had the pleasure of sampling many dishes from their menu.
They offer a delightful array of options, including French toast sticks, pancakes served with ice cream, vegan croissants, vegan pain au chocolat, vegan Nutella and peanut butter toast, tofu scramble bagel, smoothie bowls, Buddha bowls, vegan hot dogs, and, my absolute favourite, their Oreo and Biscoff sundae. I can confidently say it’s the finest vegan sundae I’ve ever tasted.
One minor drawback is that the location is on the main road, so it can get a bit noisy and quite hot during the day.

Air-con: No

#9 Kynd Community
I have worked a couple of times from Kynd in Canggu and I couldn’t stop checking their vegan menu and waiting to be hungry again even though I just devoured a meal. Everything looks and tastes so good. The diversity of their vegan menu goes above and beyond. Combined with its exceptional and genuinely friendly staff, Kynd has become the perfect spot as a daytime workspace.
My personal favourites among their dishes include the salt & pepper calamari, creamy tan tan ramen, broccoli bowl, and jackfruit pizza. I’ve also sampled their English breakfast, which was quite good, and their burgers, which were just satisfactory.
The Canggu restaurant is on the main road so it can get quite noisy but if you don’t mind that, definitely spend your work day there.

#10 Avocado Factory
At The Avocado Factory, another vegan-friendly cafe and restaurant in Canggu, they make a point of using local ingredients and products from nearby farmers and artisans. They’re all about sustainability and fairness, which means a better food system for everyone.
By backing local suppliers, they make sure the stuff they use is fresh and good quality while also helping the economy in Bali. They partner directly with local farmers and artisans to promote good farming and trading practices.
The vegan options were not the best, in my opinion, but you can certainly find some on their menu. I had avocado fries (deep-fried avocado) and tofu hollandaise.
You can choose from indoor and semi-outdoor spaces.

Summary – Best vegan cafes in Canggu
I would like to highlight the importance of respecting others at every restaurant and suggest asking the staff for permission to use your laptop. Laptops can create a different atmosphere in any place, especially if the cafe or restaurant is not designated as a workspace.
Lastly, please be mindful and consider purchasing enough drinks or food if you plan on staying for an extended period, rather than just ordering a single coffee, as you might be occupying space that other potential customers could use.
