1. Omni Collective

Omni Collective is a beautiful, fully vegan restaurant located in South East London, owned by Jessica McGill and George Matheou.

From lush cocktails to beautiful starters, mains, and delicious chocolate pudding, the portions seemed small, but you should feel pretty satisfied at the end of your dining experience.

The restaurant’s modern and inviting ambience creates a perfect setting for a vegan date, whether a relaxed lunch date or a romantic dinner date.

2. Mallow

The second restaurant perfect for a vegan date night is Mallow.

Mallow is one of the five restaurants operated by the team behind the well-known London restaurant chain Mildreds.

It is a fully vegan restaurant that creates dishes supporting local businesses and aims to produce minimal waste. The ambience gives off a modern bohemian vibe, and the food is quite creative and, most importantly, delicious.

The main restaurant is in Borough Market, and the newly opened one is based in Canary Wharf.

Fully vegan: yes

Serves: Breakfast, (Weekend) Brunch, Lunch and Dinner

Location: Borough Market and Canary Wharf

3. Tendril

Tendril offers a vegan dining experience focusing on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, avoiding fake meat and highly processed food.

Chef Rishim Sachdeva challenged himself during Veganuary, leading to Tendril’s birth.

It started as a pop-up but eventually launched into a permanent restaurant, now located off Regent Street. The restaurant is cute and chic, making it a great place for a vegan date lunch or dinner. The dishes are artistic, look stunning, and tantalise the taste buds.

You can choose between a la carte or a set menu.

4. Farmacy

Owned by Camilla Fayed, Farmacy is a wellness-focused vegan restaurant in Nothing Hill, offering nourishing and organic plant-based dishes.

The stylish, ‘green’ ambience reflects their commitment to holistic well-being, and their menu features nutrient-packed dishes that promote a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

I have visited Farmacy multiple times for late afternoon tea and brunch dates, and it was always spot on. The tables are a reasonable distance apart, and there is also a seating area at the bar.

Fully vegan: Yes

Serves: Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch, Afternoon tea, dinner

Location: 74-76 Westbourne Grove, London W2 5SH, United Kingdom

5. Park Chinois

If you are looking for a date night place with a twist, Park Chinois is the place to be.

Park Chinois is a high-end, luxury Chinese restaurant located in Mayfair. The restaurant serves remarkable vegan dishes and has live performances and entertainment every day of the week, which is perfect for date nights.

The restaurant is not fully vegan, but the menu has vegetarian options marked. Feel free to ask the staff to help you make the dishes suitable for vegans.

I was never a true fan of vegan Chinese food, but Park Chinois definitely changed my viewpoint. It was a perfect blend of spice, flavours, creativity, and deliciousness. I had a chance to try glass vermicelli noodles with Morel mushrooms, Szechuan mock chicken with cashews, Tofu aubergine, and seasonal mushrooms, and I ended the night with a selection of sorbet.

Park Chinois was founded by Alan Yau – the owner of Wagamama, Hakkasan and Yauatcha and featured as one of London’s best Chinese restaurants.

Fully vegan: No

Serves: Saturday Brunch, Lunch, Dinner and Private Dining

Address: 7 Berkeley St, London W1J 8EA, United Kingdom

6. Wulf and Lamb

“Wulf and Lamb” had me tricked by this name. Honestly, I would have never guessed that the restaurant is entirely vegan.

However, their concept is ‘Run with the wolves, eat with the lambs,’ which clarifies things a bit more. There are two restaurants in London: one on Pavillion Road in Chelsea and the other in Marylebone.

Wulf and Lamb is a vegan restaurant known for its soul-satisfying comfort food. The restaurant’s cosy and stylish two-floor setting is perfect for your vegan date night. You can enjoy delicious vegan burgers, hearty bowls, and scrumptious desserts.

I am definitely coming back to try the rest of the dishes, but I loved their Creamy mushroom pasta and Katsu curry.

Fully vegan: Yes

Serves: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Location: Chelsea and Marylebone

7. Sushisamba

I had the pleasure of visiting Sushisamba in Covent Garden to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and the experience was simply beautiful.

We were seated at a lovely table that offered a view of the chefs crafting sushi on one side and a captivating panorama of Covent Garden on the other.

Just to clarify, Sushisamba is not a fully vegan restaurant, but they do have a fully vegan menu. I enjoyed their selection of vegan sushi, which included a good combination of maki rolls and nigiri, edamame, hot mushroom clay pot, asparagus robata, and quinoa wraps.

Sushisamba, with its fusion of Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian influences, is found not only in London but also in various destinations worldwide.

Fully vegan: No

Serves: Lunch and Dinner

Location: Covent Garden and Heron Tower, Bishops Gate

8. Jam Delish

Jam Delish, located in Angel, definitely lives up to the area’s name.

All their vegan dishes taste angelically scrumptious, so I couldn’t resist adding this to my list of the best vegan date night restaurants in London.

Jam Delish was founded in 2020 by siblings Jordan and Chyna. Inspired by their upbringing in a vegan household, they wanted to bring their grandparents’ traditional Caribbean recipes to life.

The restaurant serves brunch, lunch, and dinner but whatever you decide, you absolutely cannot miss their jerk wings, salt fish tostones, bacon mac and cheese and berry crumble in my opinion.

Fully vegan: Yes

Serves: Brunch, Lunch and Dinner

Location: 1 Tolpuddle St, London N1 0XT, United Kingdom

9. Unity Diner

Unity Diner must be one of my favourite places to visit. It serves remarkable vegan food that even nonvegans question. Their burgers, tofish and chips, BBQ glazed tempeh, and loaded fries are just some of the delicacies they offer.

With a trendy yet cosy ambience and a friendly staff, Unity Diner welcomes vegans and non-vegans alike. Apparently, their cocktails are incredible, but I haven’t had a chance to try them. If you do, let me know in the comments below.

Unity Diner was founded by a group of friends, including the famous vegan activist – Earthling Ed. Their profit goes straight towards animal rights work and they opened Surge Sanctuary in 2020 which you can check out here: https://www.surgesanctuary.org/

Fully vegan: Yes

Serves: Lunch and Dinner

Location: 60 Wentworth St, London E1 7AL, United Kingdom

10. Itadakizen

I mentioned Itadakizen in my Top 10 best vegan restaurants in London post but I have to mention it again.

Itadakizen is a hidden gem for Japanese vegan cuisine. Owned by a dedicated team with a passion for traditional Japanese flavours, the restaurant serves authentic vegan sushi, ramen, and other Japanese delicacies, ensuring a delightful taste of Japan in every dish.

I tried their entire course and I’m not sure what to recommend as every dish was so delicious, bursting with flavour.

Fully vegan: Yes

Serves: Lunch and Dinner

Location: 139 King’s Cross Rd, London WC1X 9BJ

11. Mali Vegan Thai

Mali Thai is an authentic family-owned Thai Vegan restaurant in Earl’s Court, London.

The restaurant owners wanted to share the vegan dishes they ate in childhood, in a school cafeteria or dishes cooked by their moms, and that’s how Mali Vegan Thai was born.

Their menu is fully vegan, featuring small plates, soups, noodles, and rice dishes that are absolutely packed with flavour and texture.

I think you’d like this one if you are looking for a cosy date night restaurant.
